A major consideration of many M2M customers is the visual interface the clients use to interact with the system. Most web interfaces are not very intuitive and don't provide a real-time feel. Cellterra can offer many of the traditional features of many advanced visual interfaces. These components below are being updated using client side objects that make AJAX calls to a data supplying web service. This not only eliminates the need for the user to refresh the browser to get updated information, it doesn't require a entire page refresh resulting in a much more efficient use of bandwidth. This page has several components making web service calls at intervals of less than 1 second with very little load on the server.

NOTE: This demo does not work in Firefox at the moment.

Cutaway Linear Gauge

This example respresents monitoring of the level inside a vessel. The vessel has been modeled with a cut away to show the linear gauge. The fill level adjusts colors according to the 3 thresholds that the user can define. By default, we have set 90% as a high alarm. We don't want the tank overfilled, either because of the possiblity of overflow or if a pressurized tank, daytime heating may cause expansion dangers. The low level is a warning that the tank is in need of refill.
